Proquest eLibrary: How to Cite a Database
To cite a source from the Proquest eLibrary database, having the following information is helpful: author of article, title of article, the encyclopedia the year of publication, the date of access and in what form (print, web, e.t.c.), and the URL. If you don’t have some of this information, such as the author’s name, just use what you have.

The citation would go like this:
Last name, first name middle initial. “Title.” Encyclopedia. Date of publication. Form of access. Date of access. <URL>

This is an example of a citation from an article from Proquest eLibrary:
"Christianity." Compton's by Britannica, v 6.0. 27 Jan. 2009. Web. 03 Jan. 2011. <http://elibrary.bigchalk.com/elibweb/curriculum/do/document?set=search&dictionaryClick=&secondaryNav=&groupid=1&requestid=lib_standard&resultid=3&edition=&ts=0309CC7A76DDC333432E84EE914F62FB_1294113147596&start=1&publicationId=&urn=urn%3Abigchalk%3AUS%3BBCLib%3Bdocument%3B165546396>

^This does not have an author included in the citation. This is an example of a citation when the person citing does not have the author’s name. However, the citation proceeds the same format, just without the author’s information.
